About Gaynor Wright
Fellow of the Institute of Registered Valuers. Fellow of the National Association of Jewellers. Formerly senior management, Tiffany & Co., London. Founder of GHW Valuations.
Professional Profile
Gaynor Wright is one of the United Kingdom's most experienced independent jewellery valuers, with a professional career spanning more than thirty years in the luxury jewellery sector. She founded GHW Valuations to provide private clients, solicitors, and insurers with independent, authoritative valuation services — free from retail affiliation and conducted to the highest professional standards.
Prior to establishing her practice, Gaynor held a senior management position at Tiffany & Co., London — an environment where precision of knowledge, rigour of presentation, and uncompromising professional conduct are not optional. That foundation informs every aspect of her work today.
As a Fellow of the Institute of Registered Valuers (FIRV Ref 96916) — the highest grade of membership in the principal professional body for jewellery valuers in the UK — and a Fellow of the National Association of Jewellers, Gaynor holds credentials that are among the most demanding available in her field. Her valuations are relied upon by solicitors, insurers, executors, and private individuals throughout Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and South Lincolnshire.
Gaynor's practice covers insurance replacement valuations, probate assessments prepared in accordance with the Inheritance Tax Act 1984, independent valuations for matrimonial and financial remedy proceedings, and expert witness reports prepared to the standard required by CPR Part 35. She accepts instruction from either party in proceedings and as single joint expert.
Beyond her valuation practice, Gaynor contributes to the education and professional standards of the sector at a national level. She is one of only two professionals in the United Kingdom entrusted with Quality Assurance of the NAJ Foundations of Appraisal Practice coursework — the principal professional qualification for jewellery valuers in the UK. She serves as IRV Advisors representative on the NAJ Education and Training Group, and collaborates with Birmingham City University to mentor and assess students undertaking professional valuation studies.
She is consistently fully booked — a reflection of the confidence that professionals and private individuals alike place in her work.

Career History
There is a meaningful difference between someone who has studied jewellery and someone who has spent three decades working at its highest levels. Gaynor's career began in design and manufacture, progressed through senior management in one of the world's most demanding luxury retail environments, and has for many years been focused on the independent practice for which she is now known.
That trajectory — from creative practice to commercial rigour to professional independence — gives Gaynor a breadth of perspective that few valuers can match. It informs how she approaches a valuation, how she structures a report, and how she defends an opinion under scrutiny.
